Lyrics

Long ago ... a host of angels watched as Jesus died on Calvary.
Ten thousand strong they've waited ... until today.

The courtroom spans the universe ... creation stands in judgement.
For mankind chose separation long ago.
Satan cried, ''They're all stained with sin ... they're unworthy of God's favor. So I claim by His own laws each sinful soul."

But Paul said, "I was crucified with Christ, and He now lives within me."
''This soul's not mine ... for it belongs to Him."
Satan laughed said, "Prove to me that Jesus could ever love a sinner?" Paul stood to face the throne, and then he said ...

I call to the stand ... ten thousand witnesses,
to Jesus's love ... to Jesus's love.
For the angels watched as they ... drove the nails in His hands.
And they saw that cross where they lifted Him up.
I call to the stand ten thousand witnesses,
To Jesus's love.

Someday I'll stand in judgement. All my good will prove unworthy.
If not for grace I'd stand ... alone and lost.
Then Satan's accusing finger will point, and he'll say that I'm unworthy.
And he'd be right, but for that rugged cross ...

And I'll call to the stand ... ten thousand witnesses,
to Jesus's love ... to Jesus's love.
For the angels watched as they ... drove the nails in His hands.
And they saw that cross ... where they lifted Him up.
I call to the stand ten thousand witnesses,
To Jesus's love ... To Jesus's love ... To Jesus's love ...
Ten thousand witnesses ... to His love!
